Last week we covered our early cancer detection test and today we’re shifting our focus to the body’s largest organ: the skin. Our skin test is a unique genetic test designed for various skin types that analyzes genes. These genes are then associated with a patient’s predisposition for wrinkling, photoaging, oxidative stress or other conditions. It can also determine markers for dietary micronutrients that have been scientifically proven to promote skin health. The test allows physicians and patients to provide skin care treatment options and dietary micronutrient information based on the patient’s genetic risk profile in as little as two to three weeks.

Besides skin photoaging and oxidation, the skin test also includes several additional categories. It can determine markers associated with skin inflammation that can cause aging, itchiness, and allergies. Skin glycation is a process where sugar molecules link to proteins within the skin cells and form what’s called Advanced Glycation End (AGE) products which can cause skin cracking, thinning or loosening. Skin moisture and hydration, texture, and elasticity are additional markers that can be determined using our comprehensive skin tests.
